We’ve taken a huge goal (Reaching Your City) and made it practical through the journeymen challenge where believers make 1 life changing decision, have 2 spiritual discussions with a lost person, and commit to 3 days of outreach to your city.
The Best Part of the Challenge is that it is for everybody in your church!
The 40 Days Concludes with three incredible days of outreach:
Thursday and Thursday Night
The seven project school assembly during the day and seven project outreach at night. Check out www.sevenproject.com. This is an incredible way to reach students and becomes the youth ministry’s arm of the 40 days of outreach. We have found that it is impossible to truly minister to a city without reaching out to the schools of a community.
Friday Night
Training for Saturday’s outreach with prayer OR night two of a crusade, OR a revival service, OR a strategically planned night of fun where each small group invites their lost friend to a some kind of social (i.e. bowling, Friday night football game, cookout, etc.)
Super Saturday Outreach
During the day the goal is to mobilize 100 of your people in the streets of your city for 4 hours doing servant evangelism, door-to-door ministry, a kids outreach in a Wal-Mart parking lot, hosting several free car washes, and ministering in variety of service projects in the city.
Night-Crusade Night Three, OR revival service, etc
**Sunday at the Church
Salvation Sunday/A Sunday that is designed for the city.
